NFB Launches iPhone App.

MONTREAL: The National Film Board of Canada (NFB) is launching an application for the iPhone that allows free, full viewing of hundreds of documentaries, animated films and trailers streamed over WiFi, 3G and EDGE wireless networks.

The iPhone application allows users to choose their viewing time, with the ability to preload a film and watch later; search the entire collection of films available online at NFB.ca; create and save a list of favorites; and target films viewed by people nearby. This is the latest in the field of digital accessibility from the NFB, which at MIPCOM launched a new buyers’ website, where clients can screen product, including newly released films, download sales sheets and connect directly with NFB salespeople.
