New VP of Alternative Programming for ABC

BURBANK, June 17: ABC
Entertainment has named Corie Henson as its VP of alternative series and
specials, working on this summer’s I Survived a Japanese Game Show and the untitled Ashton Kutcher/Tyra Banks project.

In her new position,
Henson will develop alternative series as well as oversee current productions
and specials for ABC. Henson will report to Vicki Dummer and John Saade, the
co-heads and senior VPs of alternative series, specials and late night at ABC
Entertainment. Most recently, Henson served as the executive producer of The
Secret Life of a Soccer Mom
, and
was a supervising producer on shows such as Grease: You’re the One that I
Want
, Tommy Lee Goes to College
and the sixth and seventh seasons
of Big Brother.

“Corie joins our team with
a wealth of alternative-programming and live-television experience,” said Dummer.
“Her fresh take on alternative programming will be a welcome addition to our
creative team,” added Saade.
