Sloan, Sagansky Enlist Media Veterans for Global Eagle Board

LOS ANGELES: Global Eagle Acquisition Corp., led by Harry Sloan and Jeff Sagansky, has brought on former Telemundo CEO Jim McNamara and venture capitalist and former Sony Pictures Entertainment executive VP Dennis Miller to its board of directors.

Global Eagle Acquisition Corp. is a newly organized special purpose acquisition company. McNamara joins its board of directors, bringing with him more than 25 years of experience in the TV and film industry. He is the founder of the indie production company Panamax Films, and also serves as the non-executive chairman of Cine Latino and non-executive chairman of Pantelion Films, a partnership Lionsgate Entertainment and Grupo Televisa. McNamara was the president and CEO at Telemundo Communications from 1999 to 2005.

Million also joins the board at Global Eagle Acquisition Corp. Miller has served tenures with Turner Entertainment Company, Sony Pictures Entertainment and Lionsgate Entertainment, as well as Constellation Ventures.

“Jim and Dennis bring a wealth of knowledge and experience as well as long-established relationships with executives in the media, technologies and investment sectors to Global Eagle’s operation,” said Sloan.
