New SVP of Finance for Turner EMEA

LONDON: Aksel van der Wal has become the senior VP of finance for Turner Broadcasting System in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

In his new role, van der Wal will supervise the financial planning and analysis remit for the company throughout the region. This includes Turner's news, kids and general entertainment brands. He is also charged with financial growth planning and overseeing the commercial finance team in EMEA.

Previously, van der Wal served as the global CEO of Time Out. Before that, he was the CFO of Seatwave and held senior financial and business development positions at Vodafone.
