New Showtime Interview Series Focuses on Comedians

LOS ANGELES: Inside Comedy, a new documentary series from comedian David Steinberg (Curb Your Enthusiasm) and Steve Carell, is set to premiere on Showtime on January 26.

Comprised of ten half-hour episodes, the series features Steinberg interviewing comedians such as Chris Rock, Ellen DeGeneres, Jane Lynch and Jerry Seinfeld, as well as comedians of the past five decades such as Mel Brooks, Don Rickles and Jonathan Winters. The interviewees share career-defining moments, personal struggles and the idols who inspired them.

Carell and Steinberg are executive producing with Vance DeGeneres and Charlie Hartsock for Carousel Productions, and Alan Zweibel serves as creative consultant. Steinberg will also direct.
