New Projects in the Works at Frantic Films

WINNIPEG, August 29:
Frantic Films is set to begin production in mid-September on House Poor, a pilot for Canwest Broadcasting’s HGTV, in
addition to prepping new seasons of returning series Til Debt Do Us Part and Guinea Pig.

House Poor features home finance expert Suzanne Schultz and
interior designer/contractor Frank DiLeo helping Canadian couples who are
overwhelmed by a mess of incomplete home renovations.

“Homeowners are faced with
so many financial challenges today,” said Frantic's CEO, Jamie Brown. “Couples
want to invest in their homes, but with renovations it's easy to get in over
your head. We're excited to be producing a show that's going to help couples
manage through this cash crisis and come out on top.”

Frantic is currently in
production on its sixth and seventh seasons of Til Debt Do Us Part, which has been picked up for an eighth season by
Slice. The series follows financial expert Gail Vaz-Oxlade as she helps families
to get to the root of their destructive spending habits.

Season three of Guinea
Pig
began shooting in May of this
year. The series tests the limits of human experience, as extreme circus
performers Ryan Stock and AmberLynn Walker undergo a new raft of experiments.

In other Frantic news, the
company’s commercial division is re-branding as Frantic Branded Content &
Commercial and will officially launch its new service in early September. In
addition to being in production on a number of traditional television
commercials and special corporate projects, it is in development on a number of
short-form entertainment series funded directly by advisers.

“I'm excited about the
heat we're generating,” added Brown. “It's going to be a great year.”
