New Prime Suspect Headed to Canada

TORONTO: Shaw Media has acquired the Canadian rights to NBC’s version of Prime Suspect from ITV Studios Global Entertainment for broadcast on Global this fall.

Global will simulcast the ITV Studios America and Universal Media Studios co-production with NBC on Thursdays at 10 p.m. Based on Lynda La Plante’s bestselling novels, the U.S. version of the long-running British hit is written by Alex Cunningham and directed by Peter Berg, with Maria Bello as Detective Jane Timoney.

Screenings, is a fantastic indication of the impact that this drama is having on international broadcasters," said Tobias de Graaff, director of global television distribution at ITV Studios Global Entertainment.
