New Partners On Board for Power Rangers Samurai

LOS ANGELES: Saban Brands’ Power Rangers Samurai franchise has secured new international broadcast and licensing partners, adding to its current roster that already includes more than 100 licensees and a slew of leading channels.

Power Rangers Samurai has ranked number one on Nickelodeon in the U.S., Mexico and the U.K. since its debut. The series will continue to debut internationally throughout fall 2011 and 2012. As part of its global marketing strategy, Saban Brands is developing a multi-territory Power Rangers Live Tour in the U.S. and Europe for 2012 and 2013.

MarVista Entertainment, the brand’s exclusive international television distributor, has finalized new television broadcast agreements. “We are proud to announce that some of the world’s leading channels are now officially joining our growing roster of broadcast partners,” added Fernando Szew, the CEO of MarVista Entertainment. “We welcome Mediaset’s Italia 1 and Boing in Italy, SIC of Portugal, Channel 9 in Australia, TV4 in New Zealand, and South Africa’s E-TV to the Power Rangers Samurai family of broadcasters around the globe.”

Saban Brands has also appointed new licensing agent CLM for South Africa joining CPLG for Western Europe, Ink for Scandinavia/Eastern Europe, Exim Licensing for Latin America (excluding Mexico), Televisa for Mexico, Segal Licensing for Canada, Haven for Australia and New Zealand, and Saban Brands Israel. New international licensees include master toy licensee Bandai, Namco Bandai for interactive games and Megabrands for construction/toys.

Saban Brands has signed new licensees in Europe, which include, AABrands for apparel in Germany, Austria and Switzerland; Akroyd for apparel in the U.K. and Ireland; Big Balloon for magazines in Belgium, Luxembourg and Netherlands; Blue Ocean for magazines in Germany Austria, Switzerland and Belgium; Blues Clothing for apparel in the U.K. and Ireland; GH Warner for footwear in the U.K. and Ireland; Minuto & Salomne Srl for umbrellas in Italy; Misirli for socks in the U.K. and Ireland; MV Sports for scooters/skates/bikes in the U.K. and Ireland; Parragon for books in the U.K. and Ireland; and Prime for paper products in France. Further deals include Leomil for footwear in multiple territories; Belltex for home goods in multiple territories; Rubies for costumes in EMEA; Sert-MST for health/beauty products in the U.K. and Ireland; Trademark Collections for luggage in the U.K. and Ireland; Van der Erve for apparel in Belgium, Luxembourg and Netherlands; and Wal-Cor Corsanini for accessories in Italy.

New licensees across Latin America include Alta Tecnologia en Mochilas for backpacks and outerwear in Mexico; Arcor for Easter eggs in multiple territories; ESEKA for apparel in Argentina; Confecciones Melgar for bedding and shower products in Peru and Parragon for books in multiple territories. Also included are Proyectos Comerciales for apparel in multiple territories; Papelera for notebooks in Peru; PT Trisinar Indopratama for lunch boxes in Peru; Sticker Design for stickers in Argentina; Xeryus for backpacks and lunchboxes in Brazil. And in the Pacific-Asia region, new licensees include The Life Like Company for costume character appearances in Australia and New Zealand, Parragon for books in Australia and New Zealand; and Rubies for costumes in Australia and New Zealand.
