New Oxygen Series Awards Guest-Starring Role on Glee

NEW YORK: Casting calls open in December for the new Oxygen series The Glee Project, which will feature performers competing for a multi-episode guest-starring role on season three of the hit show Glee.

Oxygen Media and Casting Duo, in association with Robert Ulrich, the casting director of Glee, will begin the casting search with open calls in Chicago on December 18 and 19, followed by a stop in Dallas on January 8 and 9. Aside from the open calls, the team will be reaching out through official industry channels to ensure a wide opportunity for participation. Around 34,000 applications were submitted through an earlier MySpace/Glee audition system, all of which have now been processed and the shortlisted applicants will be contacted soon.

The Glee Project will premiere on Oxygen in June 2011.
