New Novela Deals for Globo

SÃO
PAULO, November 12: At MIPCOM, Globo TV International notched up a number of
new agreements on its telenovelas with international broadcasters, including
the recently launched French channel IDF1.

IDF1 took on the
telenovela Shades of Sin, written by João Emanuel Carneiro. "We're
just beginning our relationship with the channel and we expect to further
develop this partnership, as digital platforms are gaining more and more ground
in the market," said Raphael Corrêa Netto,
the director of international sales for Globo TV International.

Also
at MIPCOM, Albanian free-to-air channel TV Klan, which currently airs Pages of Life, picked up Two Faces. The Brazilian drama title has
already been sold in Africa and Central and Eastern Europe. Japan's La Tele
station closed a deal with Globo TV International that sees the network airing
more than 700 hours of Brazilian productions per year.
