New Non-Fiction Commissions for Peace Arch

TORONTO, June 5: Peace
Arch Entertainment Group has received new orders for seven non-fiction
programs, totaling 58 episodes, from various cable channels, including several
for Discovery networks in Canada.

Peace Arch Entertainment’s
Vancouver-based production and post-production company, The Eyes, has commenced
production on season two of the Discovery Civilization series Air Dogs, spotlighting pilots who aim to fly aircraft in
record time. Production has also begun on the specials Peak to Peak:
Building the World’s Highest Ski Lift
,
in which men and machines battle two granite monoliths in an attempt to build
the world’s highest and longest ski lift at Whistler, Canada, and Reconstructing
Big Blue: The Building of a Blue Whale
,
which chronicles the excavation of a Blue Whale carcass from a long-lost whale
cemetery at the mouth of the St. Lawrence seaway.

The Eyes has received
additional episode orders for Discovery HD’s Industrious, exploring complex industrial installations; new
seasons of the weight-loss series The Last 10 Pounds Bootcamp and Bulging Brides for Canada’s Slice network; and a new season of
the top-ten countdown series UberGuide Television, which will air on Travel + Escape in Canada.

Peace Arch maintains all
foreign broadcast and new-media rights for the programs and will exploit them
in worldwide markets.
