New Marvel Series Set to Air on Nicktoons

NEW YORK, January 6: Wolverine
and the X-Men, the latest
installment in the Marvel franchise, will launch with two back-to-back episodes
on Nicktoons Network on January 23, and will air regularly on Fridays at 8 p.m.

Animation, the 26×30-minute animated series follows Wolverine
as he reunites the X-Men in an attempt to save the world. Nicktoons is
supporting the show's on-air event with a series of online activities, located
at areyouamutant.com, which will launch on January 20. Updated weekly, the site
will also feature a link to Nick.com's Game of the Week, Wolverine and the
X-Men: Sentinel Slash. Additional video
content for the series will be available on TurboNick and via Nickelodeon's
wireless platforms. The show will also have a dedicated category in Nick's VOD
offering starting January 19.

audience craves action and adventure, so bringing Wolverine and the X-Men to Nicktoons Network was a natural
fit," said Keith Dawkins, Nicktoons Network's general manager and the
senior VP of Nickelodeon Programming Partnerships. "The folks at Marvel
are master storytellers, which is why the X-Men franchise has been so hugely
successful. We expect this next chapter to really resonate with our
audience."
