New Leadership in Place at Ragdoll

LONDON, July 17: Mark
Hollingsworth is taking on the role of CEO at Ragdoll, following a number of
years as commercial director, with Andrew Davenport taking over responsibility
for all creative direction and company founder Anne
Wood becoming chair of the board.

Davenport, the co-creator
of Teletubbies and creator and
author of In the Night Garden,
will continue to work on his own productions for Ragdoll and now assumes a
wider role as creative director. He joins Hollingsworth as a director of
Ragdoll Worldwide, the joint venture with BBC Worldwide.

Wood, who founded the
acclaimed kids’ content production company and who has led the creative
direction to date, will chair the board and continue to work with writers and
producers. She said of the restructure: “This reassigning of responsibilities
will allow my very creative, experienced and loyal team the freedom to develop
their own special talents and expertise. It will allow me to concentrate on
what I love doing most—bringing new and innovative programs into
production. I consider myself extremely fortunate in having such a team and
such an opportunity to continue to do more of what Ragdoll does best. I am so
proud of what the company has already achieved and very excited about its
creative future.”
