New HBO Asia Channel Rolls Out in Indonesia

SINGAPORE: HBO Asia’s new 24-hour channel, RED, has launched on Indovision in Indonesia, delivering Asian blockbuster movies, TV series, celebrity interviews, entertainment news and more.

"We are very excited that RED is now available to viewers in Asia with Indovision subscribers in Indonesia being the first to be able to enjoy this brand new Asian movie channel," said Jonathan Spink, the CEO of HBO Asia. "RED is your home for premium Asian movie entertainment and features movies from China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and other Asian countries in its original language with English and local-language subtitles."

Programming highlights on the new service include the Korean feature Haeundae; Murderer, starring Aaron Kwok; Sophie’s Revenge, produced by and starring Zhang Ziyi in her first romantic comedy; and historical action epic Warrior and the Wolf; as well as the television series The Myth, produced by and starring Jackie Chan and based on the original movie of the same name. RED’s programming strands include Stay Home Fridays, Saturday Action Double Bill with back-to-back action movies; romance with Red Roses; thriller and drama with Red Alert; Dark Red for monsters, fantasy and magic; and Blood Red for horror.
