New Digital Members Join CASBAA

HONG KONG: Google, Skynindo and Telstra are among the new digital players to recently join CASBAA as corporate members.

The Bollywood content provider Hungama Digital Media, Australian satellite services provider NewSat and tech company Ali Corporation in Taiwan are newly signed along with Google, Indonesian platform Skynindo and the Australian telco and information services provider Telstra. Also, CASBAA member Encompass Digital Media, which owns and operates digital broadcast facilities throughout Asia, the U.S. and the U.K., has been upgraded to Patron status.

“As technology advances, the Association has taken on a larger role in the promotion of digital solutions for the multichannel TV industry,” said Simon Twiston Davies, the CEO of CASBAA. “In line with the remit to ‘inform, represent and connect’ 130 organizations to governments, platforms and market makers across 16 Asian jurisdictions, CASBAA is also committed to promoting digital media in its many forms and formats.”
