New Content VP for Cartoon Network, Boomerang

ATLANTA, January 23: Adina Pitt, who previously served as
the VP of acquisitions for Nickelodeon and MTVN Kids and Family Group, has been
tapped as the VP of content acquisitions and co-productions for Cartoon Network
and Boomerang.

Based in New York City, Pitt will be responsible for identifying,
negotiating and acquiring pre-produced series, specials, movies and short-form
product that aligns with the Cartoon Network and Boomerang brands for exposure
on all platforms. Pitt will also continue to oversee those programs once they
have been acquired and positioned at each of the networks. Furthermore, she
will serve as a liaison with international Cartoon Network and Boomerang
channels to coordinate global acquisitions contracts, as well as represent the
U.S. networks at key markets including MIPTV, MIPCOM and NATPE. She will report
to Robert Sorcher, the chief content officer for Cartoon Network.

Prior to her appointment, Pitt was the VP of acquisitions
for Nickelodeon and MTVN Kids and Family Group, charged with developing the
acquisition strategies and long-term programming plans for Nickelodeon,
Nicktoons, Nick Jr., Nick at Nite, The N and Noggin.

“Adina has a sterling reputation within the international
television community and is identified as one of the best in the industry,
which makes her the ideal choice to head up acquisitions and co-productions for
Cartoon Network,” said Sorcher. “She’s extremely savvy about brand positioning,
and has a keen eye for finding properties which build upon a network’s consumer
identity. We’re delighted she’s agreed to take on this new challenge as we look
to expand our relationships within the domestic and international creative and
production communities.”
