New Carriage Deals for History

NEW YORK, December 22: The
History channel brand has expanded its reach in Central and Eastern Europe,
while History HD is set to launch in Korea.

In Europe, History is operated
by The History Channel UK, a joint venture between A&E Television Networks
(AETN) and BSkyB. The new launches brought the service to Serbia's Telemark and
Serbia Broadband's cable and DTH platforms, adding to carriage on PTT. In
addition, History and History HD have launched in Croatia on T-Com and in
Bosnia on Art Net.

In Asia, AETN
International has clinched a carriage deal for History HD with Korea Telecom.
On January 1, the channel rolls out on KT's IPTV platform, MegaTV. History HD
is also available as a branded VOD service on all three Korean's IPTV
platforms: MegaTV, SK Broadband and LG.
