New Appointment at Viasat

STOCKHOLM, October 31:
Viasat Broadcasting has named Jakob Mejlhede as VP of central programming,
replacing Todd Lituchy, who is moving to the Hong Kong-based Asian satellite
broadcaster STAR.

In his new position, Mejlhede
will oversee programming for Viasat Broadcasting's free-TV operations in Scandinavia,
the Baltic States and Central and Eastern Europe. For the last year, he has
served as the programming director for Viasat’s Danish free-TV channels TV3 and
TV3+, and was responsible for a number of productions including 2900
Happiness, Robinson Ekspeditionen, Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? and Thank God You're Here. This followed stints at SBS TV in Denmark and MTV
Nordic.
