New Adult Animation Series from Breakthrough

TORONTO, October 6: Producing
Parker
, an edgy animated series
aimed at adults, is among the new programs on offer from Breakthrough
Entertainment for MIPCOM.

The 13×30-minute series
showcases the adventures an overworked and underpaid TV producer as she manages
a daytime talk show. Producing Parker features the voices of Sex and the City’s Kim Cattrall and Kristin Booth of MVP.

Also on the animated
front, but aimed at children aged 4 to 7, is Fishtronaut. The series follows a secret-agent fish as he goes
on adventures with his best friends. Another kids’ offering from Breakthrough
is Think Big, a format that
looks at some of the world’s most innovative children as they create and invent
new toys, games, learning tools, websites and modes of transportation.

Less than Kind is a comedy series that follows the Blechers, a
family who is struggling to revive their business, a driving school. The series
stars Maury Chaykin of Entourage and
Jess Camacho of 12 and Holding.

In the factual genre is Fraud
Squad
, which exposes a variety of
cases and outlines preventative measures to keep the average citizen from being
a victim of fraud schemes. The documentaries Battlefield Mysteries, a four-part series that looks at the wreckage of
mighty tank battles, and The Science of the Senses, which explores the interface between our inner
selves and the outer world, are also on offer from Breakthrough.
