NEW YORK/BEVERLY HILLS: Netflix subscribers will soon be able to stream a slate of content from NBC Universal’s cable channels, as well as series from the broadcast network, as part of an expanded licensing agreement announced today.

The multiyear deal between Netflix and NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution delivers streaming access to episodes from every season of Saturday Night Live, including day-after broadcast of the upcoming 2010, 2011 and 2012 seasons plus hundreds of library episodes. Also available are episodes from the last seasons of 30 Rock, The Office and Law & Order: SVU, plus previous seasons of those shows. Netflix subscribers also gain instant access to all prior seasons of Friday Night Lights, Psych, Battlestar Galactica, Destination Truth and Eureka.

"This agreement adds meaningfully to the wide variety of content that can be streamed from Netflix and breaks new ground in our relationship with NBC Universal," said Ted Sarandos, chief content officer for Netflix.
