Netflix & Disney Enter Exclusive Dutch Deal

LOS GATOS: Netflix has scored the exclusive SVOD rights for all the Walt Disney Studios films released in the Netherlands.

The pact, which takes effect in early 2014 and spans multiple years, includes animated hits such as Ratatouille, Wall-E, The Jungle Book and UP as well as classic library titles, including Mary Poppins and Lady and the Tramp.

The agreement covers all new and library product from Disney studios, Disney, Disney Pixar and Marvel with titles such as Marvel's The Avengers, Monsters University and The Lone Ranger. Also part of the deal are productions from ABC Studios, including Lost.

Netflix launched in the Netherlands just last month.
