NDS Invests in BlackArrow

LONDON: NDS has made an investment in BlackArrow, which provides ad solutions for new TV platforms, as part of a wide-ranging alliance between the two companies.

Two companies will integrate their technological expertise to deliver a range of next-generation ad solutions, such as on-demand ad insertion, interactive advertising and addressable advertising on linear television. Later, the companies aim to roll out software to enable multiplatform campaigns across multiple devices.

“As pay-TV companies invest in DVR and VOD deployments and these gain penetration, they will be able to offer new and more effective targetable and accountable advertising," said Dr. Abe Peled, chairman and CEO of NDS. "These services will be added to the core subscription revenues and can become another important revenue stream.
