NBCUniversal Hires Former Lifetime Exec for Business Affairs Role

NEW YORK: Jeffrey Schneider has been made the executive VP of business affairs at NBCUniversal’s Entertainment and Digital Networks and Integrated Media (E&DN/IM) group in a newly created position.

Schneider will be based in Los Angeles and report to Salil Mehta, the chief operating officer and chief financial officer at NBCUniversal’s E&DN/IM. Schneider will be tasked with overseeing talent and production negotiations, program acquisitions and new business deals for the E&DN/IM portfolio, which includes the network Telemundo, the cable assets Bravo Media, mun2, Oxygen Media and Style, and the digital businesses iVillage, DailyCandy, Swirl and Fandango.

Prior to this, Schneider was senior VP of business affairs and deputy general counsel for Lifetime Television Networks, where he oversaw all business affairs and entertainment-related legal policy for the network’s programming.
