NBCU Renames TV Studio

UNIVERSAL CITY, June 15: NBC Universal Television Studio,
under NBC Entertainment’s new co-chairman Ben Silverman and Marc Graboff, is
being renamed Universal Media Studios, in line with the division’s mission to
be a content provider for TV as well as digital platforms.

In announcing the move with Graboff and Universal Media
Studios’ new president, Katherine Pope, Silverman commented: "NBC
Universal is the premier content company on the planet and this name change
reflects our TV studio's natural evolution as digital distribution expands and
more platforms need premier ideas and programming."

Pope added: "We want to make it clear that we are the
first stop for creative talent with innovative ideas and great stories to be
told. Universal Media Studios will use its considerable resources and the
multiple distribution platforms available to it to successfully exploit great
entertainment product to a global audience."
