LONDON: NBC Universal’s international television production division has been tapped to produce a new season of the teen show Scene Stealers, which airs on BBC Two during the lunchtime Switch strand.

The new season kicks off July 24. Scene Stealers will be series produced by Suzanne Readwin and executive produced by Mike Beale, NBC Universal’s VP of international TV production, and the BBC’s Ruby Kuraishe. The show features teens with a strong affiliation to a certain social group or "scene" transformed and immersed into a completely difference scene.

Beale said, "We are very pleased to be in production on our first reality series in the U.K. Scene Stealers is a great show which really makes its contributors think about their preconceptions of their peers and we think it will be compelling viewing."

Kuraishe added, "This is an entertaining and comic way of making one think twice about judging someone solely by their appearance. One’s chosen look is most paramount for teens, and this is a refreshing insight into youth culture."

The show was previously produced by Alchemy Reality.
