NBCU International Launches EMEA Hub for Distribution & Networks

LONDON: NBCUniversal (NBCU) International has created a multi-territory regional hub meant to align the company's distribution and networks businesses in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

The new structure finalizes the company's strategy of creating multi-territory regional hubs, having already successfully integrated its two businesses in Latin America and Asia.

Satpal Brainch has been elevated to managing director of distribution and networks for EMEA, effective immediately. In this newly created position, he will oversee the company's TV business across EMEA, driving both content distribution and channels for the region. He'll work out of London under Belinda Menendez, the president of NBCUI distribution and networks. Brainch previously served as executive VP and managing director for NBCUI networks.

Carolyn Stalins has been named senior VP of distribution for EMEA, effective immediately. She will relocate from Paris to London, leading NBCUI's content distribution across the region and reporting to Brainch. Stalins previously served as managing director for Southern Europe, distribution and networks.

"Evolving our EMEA structure is a key milestone—aligning with our successful approach in Latin America and Asia—ensuring that we are optimally positioned to harness opportunities across the region for both distribution and networks," said Menendez. "I am delighted to have the combined expertise of Satpal and Carolyn at the helm."

Meanwhile, Don McGregor, the executive VP of international distribution, will take on the additional duty of driving sales solutions. In his newly expanded post, he will continue to work under Menendez, relocating from London to Los Angeles in November so he can collaborate more closely with the company's L.A.-based functions, including product, marketing and research.

Menendez added: "As part of increasing our focus on providing more integrated solutions for our clients, I am thrilled to have Don leading the way. In over 13 years in London, Don has contributed a great deal to the growth of NBCU International's distribution business and I know that we'll benefit from his expanded leadership, based out of L.A."
