NBCU Inks Download Deal with SanDisk

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS/MILPITAS, December 11: NBC Universal is set
to make a slate of current and library TV content available for download from
Fanfare, a web-based offering from SanDisk Corporation, a developer of portable
audio/video players.

The deal covers current TV shows from NBC, USA Network, SCI
FI Channel and Bravo, and library fare from the NBC Universal catalogue.
Consumers will be able to download titles from their PC for playback on the new
Sansa TakeTV video player. SanDisk and NBC Universal will implement a series of
measures to protect NBC Universal content, including partnering to explore the
implementation of watermarking and filtering technology solutions.

NBC Universal content will be available on Fanfare
(currently in beta) in January. Shows will include The Office, Heroes,
30 Rock, available on Fanfare the
day after they air on NBC. There will also be series, specials and sports from
USA Network, SCI FI Channel, Bravo, Telemundo, mun2, NBC Sports and NBC News,
including Monk, Battlestar
Galactica
and Top Chef.
