NBCU Expands Channel Offerings in Indonesia

SINGAPORE, October 22: NBC
Universal’s Global Networks division is launching Universal Channel in Indonesia
on the new DTH
platform Okevision, owned by the P.T. Nusantara Vision, on November 18.

As part of the launch
offering, Hallmark Channel will also be made available on Okevision. Universal
Channel is now available in four markets in the Asia-Pacific region. Hallmark
Channel is in 20 countries, SCI FI Channel is in five countries and KidsCo, a
joint venture with Cookie Jar Entertainment and Nelvana, is in eight countries.

Agus Mulyanto, the senior
advisor at Okevision, said, “We are pleased to have Universal Channel on board
as our driver channel and are very confident that Universal Channel’s debut in
Indonesia via Okevision will help boost our subscription base.”

in Indonesia,” said Raymund Miranda, the managing director for NBC Universal
Global Networks Asia Pacific.
