NBC Universal Ups Perrette to Digital Distribution Chief

NEW YORK, December 20: NBC Universal has promoted Jean-Briac
(J.B.) Perrette to president of digital distribution, reporting to George
Kliavkoff, the company’s chief digital officer.

In his new role, Perrette will be responsible for the
distribution of television content across multiple digital platforms, including
interactive television, wireless, on-demand and IPTV. He will be the primary
lead for NBC Universal's television content discussions with Internet portals,
wireless carriers, emerging digital companies, and other new media platforms.

The company's digital distribution to retail customers will
continue to be overseen by Craig Kornblau, president of Universal Studios Home
Entertainment. Kornblau will also continue to oversee NBC Universal's
electronic sell-thru and VOD distribution of film content with Internet
portals, emerging digital companies and nontraditional customers. All digital
distribution activities with cable, satellite, and telco customers will
continue to be overseen by Bridget Baker, president of television networks
distribution.

Reporting to Perrette will be Michael Bonner (VP of new
media distribution), Salil Dalvi (VP of wireless), Ronald Lamprecht (VP of new
media distribution), and Stacy Melle (VP of VOD marketing).

Perrette will also lead strategic partnerships and assume
responsibility for cable investments, managed by president Douglas Holloway.
This includes NBC Universal's investments in A&E Networks, Sundance
Channel, and NBC Weather Plus. In this capacity, Perrette will report to Jeff
Zucker, the president of the NBC Universal Television Group.

Previously, Perrette served as SVP of new media
distribution, reporting to David Zaslav, who next month begins his new role as
CEO of Discovery Communications.
