NBC Universal Delivers Revenue Gains

FAIRFIELD/NEW YORK, October 16: Revenues at NBC Universal
for the third quarter of this year rose 20 percent to $3.6 billion, but segment
profit for the same period dipped 10 percent to $542 million.

For the nine months ended September 30, 2006, the company
reported revenues of $11.97 billion, 14 percent up on the prior-year period,
and a segment profit of $2.1 billion, a 9 percent drop.

NBC Universal’s results were announced as part of parent
company’s GE’s third-quarter statements, which showed revenues up 12 percent to
$40.9 billion and consolidated net earnings of $5 billion, a 6 percent
increase.

GE Chairman and CEO Jeff Immelt said of NBC Universal’s
results, “NBC Universal is making good progress in finishing the year on the
upswing with positive momentum from the new primetime line-up.”
