NBC Renews Mid-Season Freshman Drama

UNIVERSAL CITY: Parenthood, executive produced by Ron Howard, has been renewed by NBC for a second run in the 2010-11 season.

The one-hour drama, inspired by Howard’s box-office comedy hit of the same name, debuted March 2 on NBC. The show has averaged a 3.2 rating 9 share in adults 18 to 49, with 7.8 million viewers overall, since its premiere. Howard and Brian Grazer serve as executive producers, along with Jason Katims and David Nevins.
