NBC Adds Two New Series to Slate

BURBANK, February 1: NBC will premiere a new competition
series, titled My Dad Is Better Than Your Dad, beginning February 18 at 8 p.m., as well as the new comedy quiz show Amne$ia,
which follows on February 22 at 9 p.m.

Additionally, The Baby
Borrowers
, which was originally scheduled
to premiere on February 18, will move to a later date to be announced.

My Dad Is Better Than Your Dad, which makes its debut after American
Gladiators
finishes its winter run, is a
family-friendly competition series where dads and their respective son or
daughter will be challenged in how well they can work together. The show,
hosted by Dan Cortese, was created by Jon Hotchkiss
and is a production of Reveille, Mark Burnett Productions and Hotchkiss
Industries. Mark Burnett (Survivor,
Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?, Celebrity Apprentice
), Mark Koops (The Biggest Loser), Howard T. Owens (The Biggest Loser),
Mike Nichols (Victoria Beckham: Coming to America) and Jon Hotchkiss (Penn & Teller: Bullsh*t!) are the executive producers.

Following its debut on February 22, the comedy game show Amne$ia
will move to its regular broadcast day and
time: Fridays at 8 p.m. Comedian Dennis Miller will host the show, which tests
people’s memories with blasts-from-the-past. The show is also from Mark Burnett Productions, with Burnett serving as an
executive producer alongside Adam Cohen, Cara Tapper and Joanna Vernetti.

"If you love the competitive
energy of American Gladiators and the
outrageous challenges of Fear Factor,
you'll love My Dad Is Better Than Your Dad," said Craig Plestis, the executive VP of alternative programming, development
and specials at NBC Entertainment. "Combined with our hilarious new quiz
show Amne$ia, viewers aren't going to
want to miss this great week of reality premieres."
