Navarre Names DVD Acquisitions VP

MINNEAPOLIS, August 17: Navarre Corporation, the parent
company of FUNimation Entertainment, has appointed Marvin Gleicher as VP of DVD
content acquisition, effective immediately.

Gleicher will have primary responsibility for acquiring and
marketing DVD entertainment content for the company’s distribution segment and
will report to Bob Freese, the VP and GM of Navarre Entertainment Media.

Prior to joining Navarre, Gleicher founded the North America
division of Manga Entertainment, which was sold to IDT Entertainment in 2004.
At IDT, Gleicher’s responsibilities included acquisition, production and
development of marketing strategies for entertainment content under the Manga
Entertainment brand.

Commenting on the Gleicher appointment, Cary Deacon,
Navarre’s president and COO, noted, “We believe that there is a significant
opportunity to secure exclusive distribution for DVD content in the
marketplace. Our goal is to aggressively build this business utilizing our vast
distribution, marketing, sales and product development network. Marvin comes to
Navarre with a tremendous understanding of the DVD video industry. His
experience in business development and DVD content acquisitions will be an
enormous asset for Navarre.”
