LOS ANGELES: Top executives from Twitter are headed to NATPE, which is expecting to have its most active market ever, to take part in a keynote session about the platform's ability to unlock new business opportunities.

With attendance figures pacing well ahead of last year, NATPE is poised to have one of its most active business markets in the event's history, according to Rod Perth, the organization's president and CEO.

Fred Graver, Twitter’s head of TV; Jean-Philippe Maheu, Twitter’s managing director of global brand and agency strategy; and Glenn Brown, Twitter’s director of promoted content and sponsorships, are taking part in a special NATPE session. The executives are set for a keynote that will demonstrate how to leverage the power of Twitter to enhance business.

“We are very optimistic based on the numbers that the 2014 NATPE market and conference will be one of the most active in our history,” said Perth. “We are building on our relevance to the video content industry and the tremendous amount of energy and momentum created last year.”

“The keynote conversation will have particular resonance with the NATPE community as we debate how to maximize the power of content through social media,” added Lauren Zalaznick, the founder of LZ Suday Papers who will moderate the conversation. “We will discuss the new ways for producers, distributors, network and local station executives to use Twitter to boost ratings, revenue and engagement with audiences.”
