NATPE has unveiled a schedule with a full day dedicated to all aspects of unscripted programming.

A keynote fireside chat will kick off the unscripted track at this year’s NATPE featuring A+E Networks’ Paul Buccieri; Doris Kearns Goodwin, a renowned historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning author; and Dan Abrams, web entrepreneur and host of LIVE PD. NATPE Miami’s unscripted slate of sessions and events will take place on the first day of the event, which runs from January 21 to 23 at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami.

The highlights for the full day of unscripted programming include a keynote conversation with John Hendricks, founder of both CuriosityStream and The Discovery Channel; the What Viewers Want in 2020: Cable Content panel with HGTV President Jane Latman, Food Network President Courtney White, WEtv’s Lauren Gellert and Discovery’s Sean Boyle; and the Documentary Leadership Keynote panel featuring Bungalow Media + Entertainment CEO Bobby Friedman, Break Thru Films directors and writers Ricki Stern and Annie Sundberg, Lifetime Network’s Gena McCarthy, A+E Networks’ Elaine Frontain Bryant and Eliot Goldberg, formerly executive VP of nonfiction and alternative programming for AMC Networks and Sundance TV.

JP Bommel, president and CEO of NATPE, said: “Helping our members create a strategy for content development, production and distribution is at the forefront of our minds at NATPE as the worldwide industry rapidly changes. With the appetite for content, especially unscripted content, at all-time highs, the experienced voices we plan to have on stage is sure to start the conversation we know is needed as business gets done in Miami.”
