Nat Geo Wild to Launch in Spain

MADRID: FOX International Channels is bringing Nat Geo Wild and Nat Geo Wild HD to Spain, launching October 4 on the satellite TV platform Digital+, the IPTV platform Imagenio and the cable TV operators R and Euskaltel.

This brings FIC’s portfolio of channels available in Spain to eight: FOX, FOX HD, Fox Crime, National Geographic Channel, National Geographic Channel HD and Baby TV. Among the highlights of the channel’s Spanish slate are Beard Nomad, featuring ecologist Chris Morgan; Man v. Monster, from filmmaker Richard Terry; and The Invaders, which spotlights the consequences of invasive animal specials on the balance of some ecosystems.

“Nat Geo Wild’s launch in Spain not only increases our number of FIC channels available in this market but also allows us to offer audiences a spectacular viewing experience of nature and wildlife as only National Geographic is able to do,” said Pilar Jiménez, the executive VP and general manager of Fox International Channels Spain and Portugal. “Nat Geo Wild offers a slate of outstanding programming with its incredible imagery and compelling stories that can be enjoyed by the entire family.”
