Nat Geo Wild Expands International Reach

WASHINGTON D.C., September
9: National Geographic Channels International (NGCI) has launched its wildlife
network Nat Geo Wild in France on the CanalSat platform.

Nat Geo Wild will be on
the air from 7 a.m. to 1:30 a.m., available through CanalSat’s family pack,
reaching 1.5 million subscriber homes. Specials set to air on Nat Geo Wild in
France include Gorilla Murders,
the story of the murders of a gorilla family in the Congo’s Virunga National
Park.

“Nat Geo Wild has been an
incredibly successful endeavor for NGCI, capturing viewer imagination across
demographics and countries,” said David Haslingden, the CEO of NGCI. “The channel’s expansion to
France is a direct result of the demand for the finest natural history
programming exemplified by the National Geographic brand.”
