WASHINGTON: National Geographic Channel has dedicated an entire week to programming related to the terrorist attacks of September 11 and the subsequent hunt for Osama Bin Laden.

The programming stunt kicks off today, at 7 p.m., with Inside 9/11. The four-hour mini-series traces the time line that led up to the deadly attacks on the U.S. On May 4 at 8 p.m., the channel has slated Witness: DC 9/11. The program reconstructs the attack on the nation’s capital through home video: fire, rescue and police footage and news coverage. Giuliani’s 9/11 is set for May 5 at 9 p.m. This reveals how Mayor Rudolph Giuliani confronted the city of New York on the day its Twin Towers were struck. May 6 at 8 p.m. sees the broadcast of Inside the Green Berets. For the film, the Pentagon waived their 48-hour limitation on embedded media to allow National Geographic Channel cameras to chronicle the lives of this group for 10 days. The week caps off on May 7 with the airings of Inside the Green Berets, Final Report: Osama Bin Laden Dead or Alive, CIA Confidential: Hunt for Bin Laden, Giuliani’s 9/11, Witness: DC 9/11, Inside 9-11: War on America and Inside 9-11: Zero Hour. Saturday’s programming starts at 2 p.m.
