Nat Geo HD Expands to Hong Kong

HONG KONG, December 19: National Geographic Channel HD is to
become the first high-definition documentary channel in Hong Kong, rolling out
on PCCW’s IPTV platform, now TV.

National Geographic Channels International has already
expanded its HD offering to the U.K., Ireland, France, Italy, Canada,
Singapore, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

Announcing the launch, Zubin Gandevia, the executive VP and
managing director of National Geographic Channel Asia, noted: “Today is a
defining moment for National Geographic Channels International, as we break new
ground in bringing National Geographic Channel HD to Hong Kong. From today,
Hong Kong television viewers on now TV can explore the real world of National
Geographic in the way our award-winning filmmakers intended. Committed to
