NASN Expands to Central and Eastern Europe

STOCKHOLM, October 17: Following deals this month to expand
its reach to France and the Nordic territories, the North American Sports
Network (NASN) has entered into an alliance with Modern Times Group’s Viasat
Broadcasting to launch in Central and Eastern Europe.

The Viasat Sport channel was co-developed by Viasat and
NASN. It will launch next month in Russia, Belarus, Moldova, Georgia,
Kazakhstan and the three Baltic states. The new channel will feature up to 24
hours per day of NASN and other premium sports programming. It will be made
available through cable TV packages in Russia and CIS countries, as well as on
Viasat’s own satellite DTH TV platform in the Baltics.
