NASCAR, Creative Artists Team Up to Roll Out New Reality Series

LOS ANGELES, November 15:
NASCAR Digital Entertainment (NDE) and Creative Artists Entertainment Group
have partnered for the new culinary reality competition TV series, NASCAR:
Serving It Up
, which will launch
in syndication in September 2008.

The 40×30-minute show is a
grassroots cooking competition to find the next great culinary personality,
showcasing NASCAR and its race events as well. Contestants will demonstrate
both their talents in the kitchen and their on-screen ability to win “TV fame”
and prizes. Each episode will be taped during a NASCAR race weekend, and will
narrow down the chef hopefuls each week until only two remain to battle it out
in a showdown finale. The series will run from September 2008 through September
2009, with additional production partners to be announced moving forward.

"While NASCAR is not
new to reality television, we are excited to get involved with a project that
will highlight a different side of NASCAR and offer an opportunity for both
NASCAR fans and the non-fan alike to get involved in the sport,” said Sarah
Nettinga, the managing director of film, television and entertainment for
NASCAR. “Each week will bring viewers an incredible sampling of the broad
cooking talent available across America and give everyone a chance to step into
the spotlight to demonstrate their unique culinary talents.”

“We feel this new show has
amazing potential and we’re delighted to work with a company with NASCAR’s
reputation,” said Chris Lancey of Creative Artist Entertainment Group. “Not
only are we working with a sport that has earned a fan base 75 million strong,
but we’re actually getting to reward some of those loyal fans by featuring them
on the show.”
