Naruto Slated for Second Season in Brazil

SAN FRANCISCO: The Brazilian terrestrial broadcaster SBT has signed up for a 51-episode second season of VIZ Media’s anime series Naruto.

The series, which follows a young boy in training to become a ninja, had a first season of 52 episodes air on SBT in 2007. The Naruto animated series, produced by Pierrot Co., debuted in Japan in October 2002 on TV TOKYO and become one of the highest rated animated series. Aside from its wide reach in Latin America, Naruto also found success across North America and Europe. The property has expanded into licensed categories such as toys, trading card games and video games.
