MySpaceTV Launches Hidden-Camera Series

LOS ANGELES, February 26:
The News Corporation-owned social-networking site MySpace has launched Special
Delivery
, a non-scripted
hidden-camera reality show produced in association with Avalon TV, marking the
site’s second original series.

The official Special
Delivery
MySpace profile will
house all show episodes, on-demand archives and other interactive content.
Users will also be able to “friend” the profile—marking them as a
connected fan—as well as receive regular updates from the show and share
episodes with friends. The site will debut two episodes per week.

The series features
unsuspecting delivery men and women who are asked to do ridiculous things for a
tip, such as a birthday dance for a dog or helping a person carry out a
marriage proposal. The series is shot in various Las Vegas locations and is
executive produced by Jason Irwin and Garth Holsinger.

“By working with talented
producers to tailor-make a property for the MySpace audience, Special
Delivery
is an exciting step in
our burgeoning relationship with Hollywood,” said Cristian Cussen, the director
of marketing and content for MySpaceTV. “With the success of programs like Prom
Queen
, quarterlife and Roommates we’ve learned our users have a major appetite for premium content, and
Special Delivery feeds that
demand in a very funny way.”
