MySpace in Talks with Potential Chinese Partners

HONG KONG, December 1:
MySpace.com is in negotiations with potential partners to launch a Chinese
version of the social-networking website in mainland China.

According to The Wall Street
Journal
, MySpace.com, which is
owned by News Corp., is in discussions with International Data Group's
venture-capital arm and the former chief executive of China Netcom Group Corp., Edward Tian.

Wendi Deng, the wife of News Corp. Chairman Rupert
Murdoch, is reportedly likely to join the board of MySpace China, marking her
first official position at News Corp. since marrying Murdoch in 1999.

MySpace, which lets users post videos, photos and blogs
online, has established customized versions in the U.K., Ireland, Australia,
Germany, France and Japan.
