Channel 4 Exec Joins FremantleMedia

LONDON, November 30:
FremantleMedia Licensing Worldwide (FLW), the licensing division of
FremantleMedia, has made
a series of new appointments and promotions within its U.K. licensing team.

Robert Marsh has been
named the VP of interactive and telephony for the U.K., and joins FLW from
Channel 4 where he was head of commissioning and producer relations for new
media. Marsh will be responsible for managing FremantleMedia’s mobile content,
on-screen telephony business and the commercialization of the company’s program
websites in the U.K. He will focus on growing this area of the business and
bringing in new revenue streams within the space of digital and telephony, in
particular online, podcasting, mobile and related digital content areas. Marsh,
who joins in December, will be based in London and will report to Dominic
Burns.

While at Channel 4,
Marsh Marsh implemented the mobile, broadband and premium rate telephony for Big
Brother
,
Deal Or No Deal and The New Paul O’Grady Show.

Emma Armstrong has been
appointed to the newly created position of senior licensing executive, UK. In
this role Armstrong will help manage brand licensing across FLW’s consumer
products, promotions and retail relationships in the UK. She will also build on
existing licensing programs and identify new partners for FremantleMedia to
work with. Armstrong will be based in London and will report to Pindy O’Brien.

In addition, Dominic
Burns has been promoted to Senior VP of Licensing, UK; Pindy O’Brien has also
been promoted to VP of Brand Licensing and Retail.
