MTVNI Sells Reality Fare

LONDON: A host of reality and documentary titles from the MTV Networks International (MTVNI) slate are making their way across the globe, with international deals for a host of shows, including 16 & Pregnant.

SBS of Belgium scooped up the doc series 16 & Pregnant and 16 & Pregnant: Life After Labour. In France, Planete signed up for the reality show Trick My Truck. TV2 of Denmark bagged the first two seasons of Nitro Circus, along with 40 Most Slimmed Down Celebs and 40 Naughtiest Celebrity Scandals.

The first four seasons of Pimp My Ride are headed to Afghanistan via a deal with Ariana Radio & Television Network. In Singapore, MediaCorp is set to air the murder-doc series Famous Crime Scene. TVN in Panama has signed up for Jackass and Fist of Zen. Teletica in Costa Rica opted for season one of Nitro Circus and City TV of Colombia picked up the hidden-camera show Boiling Points.

In Malaysia, 8TV bagged season two of Paris Hilton’s My New BFF. Discovery Networks in Asia has taken on Trick My Truck, seasons one, three and four.

Musique Plus of Canada went for a raft of celebrity shows, including 40 Most Shocking Celebrity Divorces, episodes 198 and 199, and 40 Most Slimmed Down Celebs, episodes 212 and 213. Much Music acquired Behind the Music episodes on Usher, Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Hudson, DMX, Christina Aguilera, Eve, Courtney Love and Fantasia. The channel also went for Famous Crime Scenes episodes on Tupac, Anna Nicole Smith, Michael Jackson, John Lennon, Selena, Marvin Gaye and Notorious BIG.
