MTVNI Notches Up Sales in CEE and Near East

LONDON: In the lead up to DISCOP, MTV Networks International (MTVNI) has secured new sales in Russia, Eastern Europe and the Near East.

In Hungary, TV2 is updating its Nickelodeon branded block with new programming set to launch in September. Headed to the schedule are Ni-Hao Kai-Lan, two additional seasons of Dora the Explorer, additional episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants and the third season of Go! Diego, Go!

In Russia, 2×2 went for Fatherhood, TV Funhouse and Human Giant, along with renewing Striperella, Drawn Together and Celebrity Deathmatch. Teleimedi in Georgia signed up for Double Dare and El Tigre. TC Seven JSC in Bulgaria took Nickelodeon’s iCarly.

Top Channel in Albania picked up 21 new episodes of SpongeBob and also signed on for the Video Music Awards 2010 and the EMAs 2010. ICTV in Ukraine relicensed Rugrats and All Grown Up. In Israel, DBS took special episodes of the MTV dating show A Double Shot at Love with Tile Tequila.
