MIAMI: Following on the success of shows such as Isa TKM and Isa TK+, MTV Networks Latin America has pledged its continued commitment to producing long-form local content for audiences in the region.

The company teamed up with Sony Pictures Television (SPT) in 2008 for the telenovela Isa TKM. The success of the teen series spawned a second show, Isa TK+. The show aired across Latin America as well as in the U.S., Spain, Italy and Slovenia, among other territories. In 2010, MTV Networks Latin America again teamed up with SPT to produce Niñas Mal for MTV and with Televisa and Illusion Studios for Nickelodeon’s Sueña Conmigo. Currently, the network has several series in development, including Nickelodeon’s Grachi, with more details to be announced shortly.

“MTVNLA is committed to super-serving its audience throughout Latin America and the US with compelling brands and content,” commented JC Acosta, the senior VP, CFO and executive in charge of production for MTV Networks Latin America, U.S. Hispanic and Canada. “After hits Isa TKM, Isa TK+, and our current productions; Nick’s Sueña Conmigo and MTV’s Niñas Mal, we are perfectly positioned to maximize and optimize our expertise in producing content that is locally, regionally and internationally relevant to our audiences.”
