MTV UK Unveils New Digital-First Commissions

MTV UK has commissioned three new digital-first series featuring content creators and talent from the MTV universe for YouTube.

The new slate explores themes of well-being, mental health and masculinity, and heritage and belonging.

The first new digital-first series is In Search of Peace with Jordan Stephens, exploring how people are pushing back on burnout and building calm, meaning and balance in a noisy world. In each episode, Stephens meets a different creator and tries out their go-to daily well-being practices. It is being produced by After Party Studios. It will launch on MTV UK’s YouTube channel in Q3.

“In a world of relentless demands on our attention—nowhere more so than online—In Search of Peace with Jordan Stephens feels especially resonant,” said Jamie MacDonald, head of originals at After Party Studios. “Jordan brings honesty, curiosity and a deeply personal perspective to a subject so many of us are grappling with. Partnering with Amie [Parker-Williams] and the team at Paramount for the first time on such a timely documentary marks an incredibly exciting milestone for us.”

The second new title is Shall We?, a vodcast in which Geordie Shore stars Sophie Kasaei and Holly Hagan invite audiences into the group chat, sharing the chaos and honesty of their lives. It is being produced in-house by MTV Entertainment Studios and will launch on MTV UK’s YouTube channel in March.

MTV also renewed MTV Faces for a fourth season, bringing together artists from across the music and entertainment scene for conversations about heritage, exploring the stories, habits and beliefs we inherit, the parts we proudly embrace and the parts we are still figuring out. Previous seasons of MTV Faces explored grief, ADHD and body image. It is produced in-house by MTV Entertainment Studios. The fourth season will come later this year.

“Our aim with this slate is to unpack the topics which preoccupy young people today,” said Amie Parker-Williams, director of digital commissioning and production at MTV UK. “Expect unflinching and unapologetic conversations as well as faced-paced fun and laughs along the way, all delivered in formats which resonate with our Gen Z audience. In creating a range of properties for MTV in the digital space, we want to bring in new audiences while serving our existing fans with the faces and viral moments they love.”
