MTG Holds On to UEFA Rights through 2015

STOCKHOLM: Modern Times Group has extended its deal for the exclusive broadcasting rights to UEFA Champions League football in Scandinavia until the end of the 2014-15 championship.

MTG will broadcast the Champions League matches on its free- and pay-TV channels in Sweden, Norway and Denmark, and will also make the coverage available on its multi-screen Internet-based streaming service Viaplay. MTG already holds the exclusive rights until the end of the 2011-12 seasons, having broadcast coverage of the championship since 1993.
